OVER 18? Very much so.
CHARACTERS IN-GAME: Hanzo Shimada, Raven Darkholme
▶ CHARACTER
NAME: Enji Todoroki
CANON: Boku no Hero Academia
CANON POINT: Current Manga Canon as of now. (Chapter 238)
AGE: 46
BACKGROUND: Details, details.
PERSONALITY:
- Ambitious: Enji has wanted nothing more than to be the #1 hero his entire life. To the point where he became so single-minded in his conquest for the top spot that he's caused pain to those closest to him. Specifically his wife, with whom he had an arranged marriage, and four children. Of the four only one (his daughter) has seemed to forgive him and is encouraging him to make amends with the rest of them. It isn't until he finally achieves his dream of becoming the #1 hero, though not in the way he wanted, he begins to see the effects of what his ambition has done to his family. He's now putting some of that ambition into atoning for his past, and working toward redemption though it may very well be too late.
- Stubborn: His only daughter, Fuyumi, has pointed out that her father is incredibly stubborn. Enji is the type to put everything he has into something once he decides to do it. He does nothing in half-measures, and is incapable of backing down from a fight or challenge. It's what makes him a great hero. He doesn't run away in the face of danger, and even when he was confronted by an enemy that had the ability to not only destroy him, but also take the lives of thousands of people in a highly populated area, he refuses to give up and fights on.
Even when it comes to his family he can be hard-headed in persistent--not always in a positive way. During his youngest son's childhood, he pushes him (Shoto) from a young age to train hard. To the point where it makes Shoto's mother, Rei, uncomfortable. Rather than backing down, he separates Shoto from his other siblings and continues to force him to train. When she throws boiling water at her son's face, he has her taken out of the picture completely and sent away so that they can complete the training.
On a milder, less traumatic, and more hilarious note, Enji's stubbornness shows when we are able to see a shot of his cell phone showing that he's sent many messages to his son Shoto and has been stubborn about trying to contact him despite (as it appears) having been left on read for quite some time.
- Fiery Temper: Pun fully intended. He doesn't get pissed off easily, but when things do get under his skin, his temper flares and he may sometimes overreact. One point where he becomes angry is when All-Might, the former #1 hero, decides to step down for reasons that are outside of his control. Rather than being understanding and accepting, he's angered by it. Not only did he not ascend to the top spot through hard work and dedication, but it was basically being thrown away by All-Might's retirement. He isn't a man to take pride in being handed something that he hasn't earned. Later, he unleashed his anger in his training room, completely trashing the place over it.
- SOFT?: So yes, he is by no means a perfect or even decent man. He's angry, overly ambitious, and stubborn, but Enji Todoroki does have good in him. He wants to save people, and wants to be a hero. Unlike many others in his profession, he doesn't care about the other shit. Interviews, ceremonies, and optics mean very little to him. So it's easy to dismiss him as uncaring and cruel if one doesn't peel away everything to see that at the end of the day he just wants to kick bad-guy ass and rescue people. Despite the many ways in which he's messed up, he does want to keep his family stable. He doesn't always show it outwardly, but he loves them. Enji visits his wife in secret and leaves her her favorite flowers. Flowers that she's only once mentioned loving long ago when they'd first met. Four kids and a lot of dysfunction later he still remembers. He wants to atone for the sins of his past, and does keep in closer contact with his daughter than the rest, but he knows forgiveness takes time. She invites him over while two of his three sons are there after a near brush with death and he sees that forgiveness may never happen, but even so he's willing to work toward it.
POWERS/ABILITIES:
- Pyrokinesis: Belovingly titled "hellflame," Enji has the ability to produce and control fire. He has the utmost mastery of this power to the point where he can produce them flames from any part of his body, can form flaming projectiles, and is even able to manipulate the temperature of his fire. Using his ability does increase his core temperature, and he can tolerate a lot but is not immune to hyperthermia.
- Strength: His strength is not a superhuman ability, just a result of many years of intense training and experience. He's a big man, and got that way through hard work alone.
- Stamina: Like his strength, this is also an ability he wasn't gifted with, but honed over time through training and endurance.
INVENTORY:
- Costume
- Mobile Phone: there's no reception out here.
MOONBLESSING: Iris
